Paul & Katey Leathem

So I don't know what my deal is but I TOTALLY forgot to post about this wedding BACK IN DECEMBER... Go figure!

So finally after almost a year, here it is.... Paul & Katey Leathem... est. Dec 19, 2009...

Last year Katey and her mom asked me to meet up with them and discuss the wedding. Since the brides family was paying for the wedding and was also from out of town, they decided they needed some help. Well my role with them became Wedding Coordinator. We met for lunch one day to go over exactly what Katey needed to plan for and gave her some vendor choices and tips. Everything turned out real great! Katey and Paul decided to go simple with Balck and White! She had talked about possibly an accent color and ended up just doing hot pink shoes for the girls! They ended up with some really great pictures so here they are:
Katey and Paul were married in the Las Vegas LDS Temple. It was dark out when the session finished so they got some neat pictures.

The Bride's family! Katey is totally spoiled with all of those younger brothers.
Defiantly the Princess of the family!

The Groom's Family!

The Bridesmaid's (a.k.a. the collage roomies)

The winners! Bouquet and garter toss.

The Cake! It was yummy! Chocolate cake from Freeds Bakery.

Daddy Daughter Dance!

The-Get-Away!!!

Happy Anniversary you two!

Enoch & Savannah Jessop

Savannah is a dear cousin of mine and it was a pleasure to work with her on her special day. Unfortunatly my  camera decided to die on me the second day we were in St. George so I had to wait a few days till I could get a few from family. Hopefully I can get a few more soon as well as some that ther photographers took.

When we started Savannah new she wanted something different. With an August wedding she decided to use fall colors but she wanted that added "element" that made her wedding unique... After talking to alot of venders and her florist we came up with incorperating the peacock feather in her flower arrangments. This would bring the blue in to her fall colors she wanted. Everything turned out beautiful.

The cake was done by one of the brides cousinsand the floral was added by their florist. For floral they went with the Blooming Floristin St George who did a fabulous job on everything.  All arrangments, bouquets and bouts were very original just the way the couple wanted it. The bride choose the Abby Inn for the ceremony and reception. Now choosing a motel type venue isn't always the best but usually their space is the cheapest. When she signed contracts with them I was kind of worried cause places like these tend to be very run down and tacky. The venue ended up being very beautiful! Instead of tacky bright casino carpet everything was very nice and nutral light colors. If I do another wedding in St George I will be sure to use them again. The food was great and the venue was easy to decorate. I was impressed.

Overall a beautiful ceremony and a great reception... Just what the couple wanted. Again hopfully I can get more pictures soon... Enjoy!

Of course I had to get a picture with the bride. Its not very good though cause it was taken on my phone. Oh well... See the baby belly starting?

Red Wedding Ideas

Probably the most popular color scheme for a wedding is red, white, and black... Makes since does it not? RED is the color of love! So here are some decor and floral ideas of red based weddings!

First is centerpieces... You don't have to spend thousands of dollars on your floral budget. Red roses are super cheap (unless its valentines week) and available all year round. These simple centerpieces are a great DIY project. If you are using a print or pattern in your wedding decor a great way to incorporate it in your centerpiece is to find it in a ribbon and rap it around your vases.

Cakes... they are a great way to incorporate color! You can pull the red in the icing, make it a red velvet cake, or add red floral to it. Get creative with your cake or cupcakes!

Decor... Love a few of these ideas. If you are getting married or doing a ring ceremony at the reception this red canopy would make a beautiful alter... or as it is presenting the cake! These floral poms are EASY to make and can be hung almost anywhere for decor. Use them as chair/aisle decor for the wedding and then transfer them to the reception for more color. You can use almost any red flower that you are using in your regular floral pieces. Linens are a great way to pull in color but make sure that your tables are color balanced. If you have a red centerpiece make the linens black or white. If your centerpiece is white, have a red table runner with a black base linen.

Bridal party... Red ties for the guys, Red shoes for the girls (and maybe even the guys). Red flowers in their hair or maybe just a matching clip. Girls with cute black skirts and white blouses with Red waist belts! The options are endless when it comes to dressing up your bridal party... and don't forget about the parents too!
